Easter 2006
Events this spring: Easter, of course-- along with a trip to the White House for the 2006 Easter Egg Roll.

Spring Garden Tour
This is a week-late in posting but it's still Spring, so good 'nuff. Last week we attended the White House Spring Garden Tour with Nonni and Papa (my parents) in tow-- very cool stuff. As a Marine band played we strolled the grounds and got to see close-up views of things like Jackie O's Garden, the Rose Garden, West Wing/Oval Office (exterior, of course), the tennis court, and the Children's Garden. I video-taped and photographed much of it, in the process capturing an excellent wipe-out of Mia as she tried running on the jogging path. The soundtrack of the video is the Marine band playing something I wish I knew the title of-- they sound wonderful until the very end when for some reason they end on an odd sour note-- like a big out-of-tune sneeze. It was a great day finished with a tasty brunch at Old Ebbit Grill, and a very tired Mia.
